Don't you know the purpose of crafting is creating gear for other crafters & gatherers?
This is a huge disappointment for me too , not even a week i already start feeling like i should give up and and stop playing AGAIN , its such a shame , i only paid for this expansion to enjoy more crafting and gathering and they tell me i cant do that unless i do more combat and progress story? or have to pay ridiculous amount of money and buy them from market?

Having sunk a lot of money into getting ALC to 60, hoping to be ready to make potions and the like for raiding once Alexander comes out, I have to say I'm pretty disappointed too. Key recipes (even quest rewards!) are locked behind the Master III book, and because areas are gated as they are by MSQ and the like, materials are incredibly scarce past level 55 or so, which makes actually earning scrips for the book and the gear a total pain.
The new specialist abilities are largely questionable as well. While a few of them have a couple individual uses, by and large, the best abilities are still the level 50 cross-class skills, just as they always have been. If part of the intent for specialization was to dispel the need for omnicrafting because of abilities, these new actions aren't going to cut it in the least.
Why are the level 50-55 crafting recipes all even harder than three-star and four-star recipes exactly?
I don't find them harder at all. I've found that at level 50, an 80 durability level 53 item is similar to a typical 4* level 50 item.
Once you start matching your level with the item, everything is a breeze (at least from levels 50-56), especially since RS becomes overpowered.

It's been so long since we had to Level Up on Crafting, but what "stats" get improved as you Level Up from 50 -> 60 on a Crafter? It's not like our STR, VIT, DEX, etc. go up on these Crafting classes. So is it just your inherent Class Level increasing will decrease the difficulty of Recipes / Synths?
