(I think no one has noticed spread has been tweaked slightly already so we can draw a card and move into battle and then cast it to spread, that was definitely not a thing until recently.)

I've been doing this with AST since the beginning, it hasn't changed. I'd draw before the tank pulls, then, if it's a card I wanted to Spread, I'd Disable whatever target they Lob to get into combat without generating any significant aggro and Spread that card.
