Where's your avatar signature from? They just need to add a kiddie pool for the people that doesn't want to speed run.
In a lot of the 2.5/2.55 dungeons and current 3.0 dungeons - there's many roadblocks that doesn't open until you defeat the pack of mobs before it - it is already catering to the non-speed runners.
I got better stuff to do than sitting in a dungeon for 1hr.

They are Kantai Collection (Kancolle) characters.
This was just a MMD video on youtube

I'm the warrior of light, whom defeated Shiva and Gaius van Baelsar but I can't kill more than 3 trash mob in a dungeon. Yeah sounds really good. Solution, add more mobs! Make them easier to kill.![]()
welcome to MMO progression 1.0...the hero you had prior to expansion is now getting teabagged by cute fuzzy creatures just outside camp.
ON SUBJECT - I don't see a need. keep as is. I'm not a fan of speed runs, but i certainly enjoy a group that has the flexibility to play around and grab a bit more then necessary at times.
I honestly think that most the Ire is due to people who just spent the last year running everything with their eyes closed, and they hate being forced to pay attention.

As a PLD main tank, I can only assume that the individuals having such a huge issue with speed-runs are those same individuals you find in your low-level roulettes demanding full clears: They want things done their way, and only their way. Well, you're not at Burger King.
Understand that speed-running is not something that just occurs the first time people run a particular dungeon. You see some tanks, albeit poor ones, who might try to pull more than they're able and who simply don't learn from it, but you'll find that most of the tanks... and dps... and healers who are okay with speed-running are those people who are running that dungeon for the umpteenth time for [insert name or purpose of mindless grind].
The old saying goes, "time is money," and if you're wasting time, then you're wasting money. It might not be your money, but you're still wasting it. If your group is capable of pulling everything all the way from the front door to the first boss, then there's no reason not to do so. If you're gonna get pissy about it just because "you don't feel like it" or you simply don't know how to do your job efficiently enough to speed-run then simply say you're not comfortable with it and I would bet that the greater majority will take that into consideration.
This whole thing of coming up with all kinds of jacked-up, off-the-wall methods of nerfing this, or "buffing" that needs to stop because none of you [us] know the game better than the developers do. The plan is in place to have some dungeons capable of being cleared quickly, while other dungeons are paced accordingly with various mechanics; mob difficulty included.
I default to moving quickly from fight to fight and pulling two packs at once when Tanking.
I'll speedrun, do full clears, take things slower, spoilers or no spoilers, just ask.
Really, just ask.
A good idea to prevent mass-pulls and speed runs are stopper like doors or somthing you just can pass until you defeated/did something special.
It is the funniest thing i've ever heard to nerf the tanks aoe-pull except nerfing dps.
First of all no dps was nerfed. We have some player in our FC that can burst damage like hell even in heavensward. The only thing that got nerfed are Holy and Flare because of their incredible damage over loads of mobs.
And secondly i, as warrior, have to say: okay, nerf our aoes, make cooldowns on them as f**k, but then i will have a funny time in dungeons like "The Vault" when dps early-pull adds and begin to run like chicken. ;D
