if alphinaud was going through puberty, his voice would DEEPEN, not go up in pitch.

Please calmly understand that we are not talking about a stereotypical Human puberty as we know it. As far as we know this may in fact be the normal stage of evolution for a Elezen child's puberty for his voice to go up a pitch.
