FFT and FFXII both take place in Ivalice, though across vastly different time periods, (iirc FFT is centuries after FF12)

Balthier and Mustadio's last names are both Bunansa.

Could just be an Easter egg, or an ambiguous heritage caveat

^You're missing out on some serious cheese not using Mustadio. He will let you breeze through Deep Dungeon and anything else.

Keep him as a Machinist and give him Knight's action skills as his secondary, he can Rend Weapon with his Gun from anywhere on the board.

By the time enemy units close in on my group, Mustadio's already broken all their weapons

Yes it was supposed to be Mustadio. It's not exactly the same but the features definitely are recognizable.

I'll have to give that a try. I just remember his Aim Arm and Aim Leg had woeful accuracy to them and left him as is. The last play throughs I did I tend to push for dual wielding melee or two handed dragoons with max brave and Blade Grasp (Shirahadori) for funsies.
