Did you ask for a refund, or were you just raising the issues you've experienced?

Personally, I did both and all I got back was... "We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Thank you for taking the time to contact us today and we look forward to your opinions of our upcoming titles."
I'm glad others seem to be finding resolutions with support but this felt like a total brush-off.

I have found general support to be a complete joke. Live Chat always ended up with me waiting forever in queue, and whenever I finally get through, there's no rep. Ever.Personally, I did both and all I got back was... "We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Personally, I'm trying through the SE store support which was linked earlier in the thread:
https://store.na.square-enix.com/docs/email_support
They are much more responsive, and very kind. I don't know if they will be able to handle refunding anr/or switching to the PS4 version, but I am hopeful. If I can just get a refund even, that'd be great.
I agree with this so much. This client is so unplayable that even an iMac or MBP purchased today and brought home with the highest specs would chug. It's a mess, and it is ruining SE's reputation. I can't believe they let this slide so badly.

I tried to submit a ticket through this channel and repeatedly get this message:Personally, I'm trying through the SE store support which was linked earlier in the thread:

You must provide a valid Order ID or the email address you used for the purchase. Please retry here.
I've tried with both my order ID and with the email address I used to make the purchase. I can't believe SE thinks it's okay to treat (new!) customers this way....
Are you fully logged into the SE store when attempting to complete the form?I tried to submit a ticket through this channel and repeatedly get this message:

Sounds like quite a few people have received (inconsistent) responses to their requests for support / exchanges / refunds at this point. It's encouraging to see that a few players have been able to get a refund through official channels. I am trying again, linking to this forum thread and indicating that others are having their money refunded for this defective product. I am trying not to go the route of a credit card chargeback, although there is ample documentation that I've made a good faith effort to resolve the matter with the vendor (SE).

I'm in the same boat. The $60 Mac client they sold us is a complete disaster even on high end machines. Getting resolution through chat or email support has been a nightmare. And they've essentially told me that they can't fix my problem and there's nothing they can do.Sounds like quite a few people have received (inconsistent) responses to their requests for support / exchanges / refunds at this point. The Mac troubleshooting tips they posted earlier today did nothing to improve my client performance. So it's either a refund/PC repurchase or nothing.

My order was cancelled today. We'll be getting the PS4 version, what a joke that they thought to list the specs AFTER release.
By the by, my girlfriend's computer has an Nvidia 650M or whatever, and hits all the other requirements. I'm pretty sure an equivalently powered Windows computer could achieve higher than 8-14 FPS on the lowest settings. The wrapper is unoptimized, and a mess, and people are paying for something that Square-Enix slapdashed out the door. Blizzard has its problems, that is certain. But Mac ports have never been one of those problems. SE needs to get it together, they could've had a super successful Mac release. They certainly had the money to develop a native port.
They need to do what WB did with the Arkham Knight PC port. Take it down, revisit the drawing board, actually work on a port. If people want the crappy client in the interim, they need to just make it free.

Yeah both; I explained them my issues mentioned in an earlier post, the horrible performance and that I feel tricked by having to pay twice for files I already own (included a link to this horrible screenshot).
I asked for a refund, but also expressed my continued support, on a different platform, and the hopes of a future native release for OS X.
