Chocobo Riding to other citys,towns (Race Time Quest)

All registered racers please proceed to the following Chocobo Stable(s) to participate, failure to do so disqualifies your registry form.

@ The Chocobo Stable:

NPC: BLAH BLAH BLAH *I've marked the goal on your map* BLAH BLAH

Outside:
*A giant ribbon lines up all of the chocobo and their riders and a giant KWEH!! in gold letters appear in front of your screen meaning "GO"* (Watch out for monsters placed on the field to hinder you from victory! Look for chests that'll help you along the way, if knocked off your chocobo, go to the last checkpoint touched to receive a knock-down penalty that slows your chocobo (state of weakness) and continue the race)

1st Prizes for winning:

New gear for your chocobo that increases speed/defense
New chocobo jack coat/dress/hat/pants/cape/ that increases rider's stability/handling of the chocobo's movement
a gold crown that says "Chocobo Racing King/Queen" and baraging rights (until someone beats you)

2nd prize:
Saddle flags
Silver tiara thingy that says "Chocobo racing prince/Princess"

3rd:
bronze circlet that says "Chocobo racing slow poke"

(The prizes are for PERSONAL chocobo use only outside of racing, the items cannot be used for races)

So this may be a small point and I'm nitpicking a theoretical idea, but here goes anyways.

Just gotta say that I'm strongly against granting faster racing gear to the 1st place race winners. Reason for this being, is that those who are already good enough to win, are then being rewarded with equipment that grants an edge that makes it even easier to win.

Once enough racers had attained the gear and the competition became saturated with "geared up" racers, a rift would develop between those that had won the faster gear and those who hadn't. The racers without gear would never be able to attain it because the only way to get it is to win, and the only way to win is to have faster gear, leaving the races virtually inaccessible to them.

So if better racing gear were to exist, it shouldn't be gained via winning the races, but by some other means. Race prizes should either be aesthetic, or improve some other factor.

But anyways, the OP was talking about chocobo rental - which should be the same Chocobo for everyone. But that would lose some of its meaning.

I loved Aster's idea, but for that we needed a couple of things:
1- that u just mentioned - no better racing gear awarded at the end
2- a much more responsive server (or character refresh time), or we would be seeing ourselves winning and actually losing ;P
