So by that logic, since Amdapor and Nym were wiped out by Diablos and The Toneberry Plague respectively, wouldn't that make the Mhachi the winners of The War of the Magi since their decendents presumably became the Belh'dians and later the Sil'dihns and Ul'dahins?Just got to SCH54 and I think you're on the right track.
Surito Carito names Mhach (the Mhachi) the enemy of Nym; their magi trafficked with the void and used the knowledge against their enemies.
If we're going in the right direction, the Mhachi are likely responsible for both the Sickness from the Sea as well as Diabolos...
