What are the specs of the machine and have you updated the drivers? Bootcamp is just Apple's name for the software that installs Windows and configures the MBR so the bootloader will recognize it. Once you're in Windows, OSX is doing nothing.
Yeah, I'm not blaming the MAC just the specs. The graphics card just isn't good enough. I have her client running on a lower resolution and laptop quality settings to remain at 60fps.
It's a late 2013 model so I'm pretty sure the specs are:
2.9GHz Intel Core i5 Quad-Core (Haswell)
8GB of 1600Hz DDR3 RAM
1TB 5400rpm Hard Drive
NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M Graphics (1GB)
21.5" LED-Backlit IPS Display
Full HD 1920 x 1080 Native Resolution
802.11ac/a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0
Thunderbolt, USB 3.0, SDXC Card Reader
You only have to buy the game once to play it...
If you go into a game comparing it to another game that's been around a decade+ on aforementioned game, you're gonna have a bad time.
License thing is annoying, but you get a free month with every license.
Lessee... look at your monthly cost and subtract that from a license. Ok, now, if you want to get it for your mac exclusively, you pay for the expansion, for the base game, and for a month sub. I don't know about you, but if I was completely switching systems and I liked a game, i'd be ok with that. If i didn't like the game, I wouldn't bother complaining on the forums about something that shouldn't be news, and I would go back to whatever I thought the superior game was.
Just a thought.
Who "games" on a MAC? Seriously...
I'm going to tell you why you're wrong.
WoW's subs have been dropping hardcore in recent months, starting with Draenar's release.
Guess where most of those dropped subs are going to? You guessed it; FF14.
In my opinion, WoW was never the benchmark. The benchmark (in my opinion) being Ragnarok Online before the whole Renewal garbage.
While people will disagree with me; the entire game (WoW) rubs me the wrong way and I'm a hardcore fantasy/science fiction fan when it comes to video games. I don't feel invested in its world or sympathetic to any of it.
That said, WoW's an outdated system that's constantly getting a facelift. No offense, I'm glad it's finally starting to kick the bucket because it's honestly outlived its stay.

I feel you, I really do. But if you're into gaming you don't buy a Mac.
Simple as that tbh.
As for your other comments: the only reason people still play WoW is because of the total time invested. People don't want to lose that. I guess that's the "reason" you were looking for. The game itself is garbage and merely a shadow of its former self. There's a reason 3 mill people quit in a few months - the game is garbage.
