Both you and I cannot make that assumption until subscription numbers are shown next month compared to how many bought the game.Because it comes across as strange to make a thread that basically says "this game should be different because *I* hate it!!"... nevermind the vast majority who are having a great time.
Yes, you are entitled to share your opinion, but people aren't going to take your opinion seriously when you barely played the game.
You got a bad first impression. That's a shame... but that's pretty much all that can be said. The majority seem to have had a great first impression.
I pressed escape and skipped every single scene until the captured part.Fluff isn't always good, but a story written without details isn't good.
It's a balance and i agree there is perhaps too much filler. However, with these filler quests we learn more about the lore of areas and details of characters that may not be present in the scene.
There's more to any store than what's directly shown to you. A good story makes you think about certain things and character interactions, an action movie/game will get to the action ASAP.
But ultimately it may be what you expected making the story's beginning lacking for you. Expected a strong first impression in the sense we'd kick ass immediately, but we got a strong impression that's we're down and trying to get up (midgardsormr did temporarily lock our blessing from hydaelyn).
I don't know what you're talking about, I've been having fun the whole time. Opinions, and you can't be telling other's are wrong just because you disagree. That and he also has a point: you didn't experience the whole of it.
How can you complain about an expansion (do I need to define what an expansion is?) if you haven't fully experienced it? To be honest, the most boring part for me was leveling dark knight up until 50 (non-exp content) - but I loved the job quests that came with it! And the way the job plays!
You came here and started complaining about the whole expansion so you should expect that some of us counter your arguments. Even more so when you have no knowledge overall.
On another note your friends bought a 50+ dollar expansion but they gave up right at the start? Let's be honest here, they weren't trying and you know it(talk about wasting money too; hope they request a refund!).
No game can please everyone. You and your friends will eventually find one you like.
I'm actually hoping that you said "I'm quitting this game"
From my perspective... So far I'm enjoying it.
I can see how the character evolved and I know how the conflict goes on and SE separate it nicely between the character.
I believe Tataru still looking for a clue about our lost Scions members, that's why she volunteer herself at the tavern.
I want to know how the story goes....
If you can fly straight away, there is no adventure in it.
That's why WoW release fly after few patch, even in Draenor they still use land mounts.
Ok, now I'm pretty convinced you're either just trying to troll us, or you really shouldn't be playing a story driven game such as FF in the first place. Saying "Ew, reading, I'll skip that. Only cutscenes for me!" and then complaining that the story is weak is just...

they did work a lot on improving the map and make you explore this, i don't see what the point of your complain there. what i read is i want to fly over the content and avoid trouble and simply speed run stuff.1. In order to fly on mounts, you have to do main scenerio quests, a lot of side quests to get more "aethers" unlocked, then explore the entire map to discover "aethers". That defeats the whole purpose of being able to fly because once we're done with all the quests, there's no reason to fly on that map anymore.
it's not always fetch quest, but it's part of the mmorpg game type. and most of the time this sort of quest are there for make you meet people and learn about....story2. Almost every single quests so far, after playing 10 hours of Heavensward, consists of getting quest from point A, go all the way to other side of map at Point B, then teleport back to point A. After that, run all the way back to other side of map at Point C, then teleport back to point A. Almost every quest feels meaningless and another one of Square Enix's ploy to extend the game without putting any real content in the game.
well we are wanted and trying to lay down the time to find a way to counter attack, without forget that we are not that know in ishgard we need to start from the unwanted for reach high into the society of this place. without forget that we don't know the detail of what happend around.... and you can't go on epic moment to epic moment without this sort of time of rest that allows to develop the deep part of the world.3. You left us off with quite an amazing story at the end of A Realm Reborn. I even watched the trailer for Heavensward because I was so excited for the new chapter. Imagine my disappointment when I find out that I have to run "errands" for my new host. Yes, it gets a lot better, but first impressions are the most important. Overall, it was a very poor "grand opening" for Heavensward.
if you play a final fantasy and are complaining about story...sorry but you really need to rethink why you play it. you have tons of other mmorpg with less story content or less story driven...
*sighs* this one is the best.... most of the Final Fantasy game have tons of filler quest and sub quest uninteresting you know? the epic moment are often tie to 5-7 per game nothing much.
ps: for the one that don't want to read all, he simply complaining about doing the story and read it.... while doing it as fast as possible!
