Too many dead/injured chocobos

I've killed plenty of chocobos in the tactics games, but that picture makes me sad.

I'm not sure why they capture so many if they can be breed them

Why wouldn't they catch them? If they see a particularly strong looking chocobo, that means it'll be worth more and then it can be used to breed healthy and strong offspring.

I'm not so sure about this I think it's more likely that one is sedated to help keep it calm. But I do wonder why they capture so many if they can be breed thou maybe they do breed them but they have them free roam to raise a hardier chocobo.

We already kill a ton of adorable creatures in 14, why not pluck the feathers of a fantasy-esque ostrich?

A certain quest made me kill one... and I felt like a monster ...
Didnt feel a thing when I randomly killed the birds that aggroed me... dunno why that one made me feel that bad :/

THIS... I didn't like to kill a chocobo as a quest either =(
