i ask the dark knight quest giver if he needs a hug. then he gives me a look.

It's to appeal to the crowd that sees appeal in the stern but flashy.
And I am now part of that crowd. From now on you must call me Coldsteelbloodegde Darknessshadowpants420.
Anything else and I'll only answer with a "Heh" and smirk with my eyes closed and head ever so gracefully tilted away as if to say "I'm hiding my anxieties by pretending I'm simultaneously above and deeper than you".
You just described every male anime protagonist. Congratulations! *Gives cookie*It's to appeal to the crowd that sees appeal in the stern but flashy.

I really like the Au Ra especially for their differences. The women look elegant, yet capable and the men are rugged, yet handsome. I will admit that they look kind of angry in their neutral pose though. Mind you, if I had to try and find a comfortable sleeping posture with all those horns and protrusions I think I'd be a little upset too!
All Male Au Ra I've seen in this forum's avatar always gives >:[ face, almost looks like my avatar's face lol
Oddly, if you use the bed in your inn room as a male Au Ra, they sleep on their backs, arrow straight. Not as cute as my Miqo'te sadly. On faces, my character has moved from >:| to >:[
I'ma go punch that.
Tank and DPS
I'd prefer differences be an option and not a forced thing unless if they're going for a motif in line with their culture/environment. Like.. I wanna play a big and tough looking woman and a Xaela Au Ra which isn't something you can do at all.I really like the Au Ra especially for their differences. Just idle expression. Feel like being a softie male is doable![]()
Yeah, I was so disappointed in the female Au Ra when I discovered that instead of looking as tough and powerful as the men do they are just another "cute monster girl". They really could have been something unique.
Like they don't even have to toss the sexual dimorphism motif if they like it so much, just reverse it. You know what you don't see too often in fantasy games? Races with big, tough, scary women with tiny, cute men. Or even better make the Raen have big tough guys and tiny women, while the Xaela are the reverse.. Or even go Midlander/Highlander to an extreme with the Xaela looking big and scary with both sexes and the Raen looking cutesy and petite with both sexes.
