Déjà Vu. I remember when the game first came out and there were similar issues. Players begged for free time then too. Never happened, so don't hold your breath. The congestion is due to all the returning players, and it's a huge player base that will swarm the new content like lotuses and unsub again. Just be patient, I know it sucks, but the game is worth the wait.

Have you seen WoD's launch? Were you there? Did you know what Blizzard did after? They apologized and gave their players compensation. Despite WoD's bleh content, they looked after the players because they knew if didn't do anything they would have lost more players. Sure they still lost players (3 mill I think) but most companies just go "boo hoo" and make us move on. That little gesture is enough to cement loyalty in their playerbase. Despite WoW taking that 3 mill dip, people still freaking play it! And it doesn't happen at every launch. WoTLK, smooth launch. Cata, and MOP, also smooth launches. BC was their first one and it had a rough point. GW2's early access was waaaay smoother than this and they have a love/hate with their player base.

We get things get boggled down. Things break. Queues and what not. What we don't like is when no one says anything and expects us to lie down and take it. It's natural for us get mad and frustrated. Gamers have been pushed around a lot, get blamed a lot, and companies just keep doing things to we either love or hate. So as for whining. Well guess what. It happens in every game. (except Candy Crush. Does anyone get mad at Candy Crush?)

Your response is the most level headed of the bunch. I can't argue with the desire to have the issue be acknowledged and have status updates sent regularly. I was there for WoD, MoP, CATA, D3 (that launch was really bad). I think ARR launch came with some free time as well due to how bad it was. This launch is like ARR2.0 so far... :O

If you just want communication about the issue and what's being done to fix it, I agree! But I don't think demanding for extra play time is necessary. You're coming off a lot more aggro so I missed your point, my bad on that. I do not disagree with you if you are only asking for status updates on the congestion issues.

Community team is typically off on the weekends....they are the ones that would be giving us updates if any are to be given (the whole "lost-in'translation" concerns play a big part in that).

As for the access issues...your subscription is technically for keeping your user account active, which in turn grants you access to content that requires an active user/password. That includes things like Lodestone and such. Normally, it would be required for posting on the forums as well--but that doesn't seem to be the case here like it was in XI for some reason.

The servers aren't down, and they aren't inaccessible en masse. That usually is the criteria that determines if we will get compensated. That is why we got time extended with the 2.0 Beta4/EA/Launch crowd...there were so many problems that the servers were frequently being taken down, players were getting booted left and right, etc. I've played in the neighborhood of 25 hours this weekend, maybe more. It was broken up in blocks, so hard to say for certain just how long I was logged into the game overall. I did have some frustration with getting to the lobby a couple times, and I did get dropped from the server twice but I was able to get back in moments later. Login queue only hit more than 20 one time for me this weekend....it was considerably worse in fall of 2013.

come on guys this is really normal to happen because alot of people are loggin in at once just keep trying until you get in the servers arnt down at all there are just to busy on the servers that causes the errors and disconections etc just keep trying once you are in you are good
