A new one completely separate besides a small unknown bonus/headstart if you have Zeta.

so as i realized, they are giving out ilvl90 gears in the lvl 45 job quest. But i finished that right before the expansion launches, is there any chance that i can get them?

Yep, I also just missed out on the new iLvl 90 job quest armor. I checked the Calamity Salvager but he only offered the iLvl 50 gear I already had.

First, it is a nice gesture of SE to reward fresh lvl 50s this new gear.

I also missed out. And those 3 dungeons mentioned (Snowcloak, Sastasha HM and Temple of Qarn HM) that reward ilvl 90 gear need ilvl 80 to participate. No quick fix.
Perhaps SE expects us to find the solution on the market board (People re-selling ilvl 115 gear), or we just need to suck it and do all those dungeons, and -hope- for friendly queues.
Shopping for new ilvl 115 BLM gear (Excalibur) cost me 400 000 gil. I won't be doing that ever again. Maybe the prices will drop in the future.

If you need gear to gear up and not for glamour, then the best will be the ilevel 120 gears for poety tomes. the tome prices got reduced with 3.0, if i remember it right.

Nobody said we'd get a bonus or headstart.
They said they'd give us "consideration" and any further mentioning of the relic line was very specifically answered as to avoid details of zeta owners.
Don't be hyped for something that wasn't promised, because when we get nothing you'll only be upset.

So can we assume weathered Sol gear is available at later quests? And perhaps sands and oils are available and even later quests?

The i100 weathered armor and accessories are purchased from the Hunt NPCs with Allied Seals.

My friend just got to 50 for the first time the other day ( Happy mother hen is happy!)
I can confirm you get both full sets of lvl 50 and i90 gear.

Im with the op tho- it's nice that they made this avalible for new people to get the i90 stuff easier, but I hope we can still get this, for those who
already got alt classes to 50 pre 3.0, and havnt been able to get the i90 stuff yet :I
