Error 2002 and 5002 are the bane of everything.

I agree. I logged out to fix something unrelated (because apparently DX11 takes over the whole computer and messes with alt\tab sometimes) and now I can't get back in.

I don't get it - are they just shutting the servers down to new logins after a certain time of day? I wasn't having any issues all day long.

I did because while my laptop can max everything out easily with great fps leaving my laptop like that for me to nap is the last thing I want to do (tired, bumrushed Machinist to level 50 and I still have ... mixed feelings on it...).

I regret this decision. I might just minimize EVERYTHING and afk?

No its just poorly coded. The login to the data center is completely separate from the server. You're getting those errors because the login to the data center is congested. The REAL problem (that should have been addressed years ago when we had the same issue with ARR launch) is that the error closes the game. Why is there no queue to log into the data center? Why do we have to keep relogging in? I've never seen any other MMO do that.

Well what? Your statement is not completed. I hope SE get everything fix by the launch date. I have a couple of friends trying to log in to take advantage of the early access.
