Patience is a virtue.
I just was able to get back in.
Suggestion. Take your younger sibling for a walk, your niece/nephew, son/daughter. By the time you get back, you will be able to get back in.

I think that would have to be one HELL of a walk!
Going down the pub for a few hours, plus recovery time from your hangover tomorrow and you might be about set to log in.
As much as I appreciate this sentiment the opposite is basically my reality: I'm a parent who only has time to play at night, in primetime, and as such I've been functionally locked out of early access (as has my husband).

Agreed, not everyone lives in the same time zone, to use FaytReaper's point..
1. I don't have any younger siblings, I am the youngest and I am 33.
2. My Nephew also plays FFXIV and he is also pissed off with this (he is 23)
3. My child hasn't been born yet, and my wife is asleep.. and this is the only time I really get to myself and this is how I choose to spend my precious "own time"
So what do I do in this case?
The point I am making, is everyones circumstances are different, and there is no Global solution except Square fixing their servers to cope.
Also I like to add to my argument, that where I am this server issue is at 21:00-22:00.. and the whole "going out for a walk" thing really seems silly anyway, although taking your child out for a walk at that time if they are crying the house down maybe a good thing but again, see point 3.
