    Is this really how Asylum is supposed to work?

    I'm a bit disappointed with the new WHM skill "Asylum", but hopefully it's just a bug.

    Divine Seal doesn't seem to have any effect on the skill, but it does have a Cure Potency (100) and Cleric's Stance does cut the regen in half.

    Is it really working as intended?

    SCHs are QQing all over the world because they aren't a semi-DPS job anymore, but WHM as a healing job did get quite nerfed. Weaker Stoneskin, Protect, Holy...and now the new abilities don't seem to be as useful. I hope it gets rebalanced.

    I believe this is because these recovery tools are actually abilities, and not spells. Divine Seal says "iIncreases spell-based HP restoration by 30%" and Asylum is not tagged as a spell (sadly).

    Asylum is not affected by cleric stance either so I'm assuming it's potency is gear based and not by spell buffs.

    Eh, bit iffy on that. Assize is tagged as an ability, yet it's affected by Divine Seal, at least those times I've tried it.

    That's not true, my Asylum takes a big hit if I cast it with Cleric Stance active. :<

    That said, it is fine to switch to Cleric Stance after you've used Asylum. Will maintan the same healing through the duration in that case, similar to Regen/Medica II.

    I've noticed all of the new Scholar Spells are tagged as "Abilities" in the window; therefore, they aren't affected by skills or effects that provide a bonus to healing. I imagine it's a similar situation for WHM. They are, however, affected by Cleric's Stance.

    There's a thread that someone else mentioned where it's being discussed.

    Asylum absolutely is affected by CS.

    This was just a quick test but:
    Gear ON
    CS OFF: Cure (POT 400) = 1450, Asylum (POT 100) = 380
    CS ON: Cure (POT 400) = 440, Asylum (POT 100) = 140

    DS does not affect Asylum.

    I'm pretty sure this is just a bug. If I were to make a completely unfounded and irresponsible guess, it's that they took the base of Sacred Soil to work off of when coding the ability and just forgot to tag it as a healing ability in the process. I imagine that's also what's going on with Lustriate, they just forgot to switch it around so it's tagged as a normal healing ability.

    Let's hope they fix it then. Asylum's healing potency being only 100 and not being affected by Divine Seal was a real bummer. Of course, that changed a bit when I got Assize. What an awesome ability it is.

    If you put Asylum down with Cleric stance on your regen from Asylum will be considerably lower, I have mistakenly done this many times.
