Light or Full Party requirement for Workshop

yes. You don't actually do anything. It's a turn in like provisioning guests for your gc or that one for the ixal. You get xp when you turn it in, not when the party does the craft. Also, the xp is given to the class you turn it in with, not the class that crafted it. For example, I turned in lumber or rivets with my LTW and the LTW got the xp.
To the small FCs, there isn't a good way to say this, so I'll be blunt. Make a few more friends.

Completely agree. After doing the real work, getting to rank 8, getting gil for the house and workshop, gathering/crafting mats, this light/full party requirement is just pointless. I have a small FC and enough friends to bypass this, but asking them to drop everything and come be a warm body for multiple steps is really pointless.

What you are talking about sounds like ''retainers'' rather then friends. As mentioned before there is just zero reason to have this requirement there. I dont see the point. I could get 3 people to sit afk for me whenever I want, and I still dont see the point. I literally have to bug people to just sit afk. And do nothing, lol.

I also would have liked to at least receive a warning before purchasing the company workshop that is now useless to my FC.
But I'd be happier if this restriction was removed altogether.

Don't know if it's already been mentioned. But my friend had a nice idea. Instead of having the party be a requirement, make it so people that do these crafts in parties don't have to use as many mats or have higher chances to HQ things.

Three months excited to build airships, paying 800,000 gil, making the first phase to see that we can't do anything. And the other two alternatives are: annoy people each short time to be afk in our workshop or buy the pieces. Very frustrating.

My husband and I formed an FC with our two friends from 1.0 at the start of ARR. We are all rather introverted/socially awkward and don't easily make new friends, but we liked the idea of being able to have our own house at some point so we made our own FC.
Our friends from 1.0 last logged in 340 days ago. We now have too few members to make a party.

Sounds like recruit or disband. That sounded mean I'm sorry. I understand the situation. But being isolated does not help make friends. I have friends and I'm not really friendly. If you have a house however I am fine with your choice. Disappointed in your isolation but I would not tell you what's best for you. My suggestion is branch out. I have many friends while I won't do much actual content with them because reasons they are all very nice.
