and it won't stop that. The people using alts to scoop up houses already have a network in other FCs to work with. If anything they'll leverage your workaround far more easily than people like I can, especially given that I'm on a smaller server like Siren. All this does is punish smaller FCs that aren't on the mega servers.

And to respond to your comment before, As you said, some people with these "Big Connections" to other FC/Friends won't get anyone to help them either because it takes time out of their friends play time to help them do these things. As you said.. An Inconvenience to them and they have better things to do at this time.

Perhaps when the market has quieted down and the Expansion has lost it's New Feeling Luster, mayhap they will remove the restriction.

I'm actually sad SE did it like this, This was something I was looking forward to alot. Just cause I own a small fc and I don't want members I don't know well I feel like i'm being punished.
Me and my two fc mates wera talking about how fun it will be to work together for the fc workshop and now we cant...

Here's the thing though, if that was SE's intent, it negatively affects a much larger number of people than just the people it's intended to punish. I get that SE tries bits of social engineering, but if that was their goal it was too heavy handed of a design.

They should have just added a daily delay to applying materials instead. It wouldn't have caused this much of an uproar and if anything would have slowed those people down more.

That's something that SE cannot control. :\ They know there will and would be people who'd abuse it and they had to think of the few who would, instead of the masses who wouldn't in order for the market to not be upset. So yeah it does suck, but it is what it is. SE cannot control the portion of players that are greedy to the core and strive to have the most gil they can get their grubby hands on.

Why? Because you can get your friends to help you even if they aren't in your FC. That's right, Just about any crafter, at any level, from any Free Company can help you.

So all you do is add more money to the FCs that have a large base of crafters on regularly. Edit: and to the gil sellers who multibox anyway.

My Free Company isn't that large either despite owning a Large House. I had to get two members from a neighbor Free Company to get my Airship crafted. D: Most of our members are just alts.

My company just completed our first airship. Here are a couple things to ease your minds.
Only the party leader has to be in the FC. You can have friends from outside your FC help, without risking your mats. Second, there is no level requirement, so even if they're level 1 you can still complete it.
This isn't going to change because it was made for companies like mine who all want to work together for a common goal in crafting.
