That sucks. I've been trying to level the other tank classes lately.
It really doesn't matter though since I plan on getting my bard to 60 before leveling anything else.

So I'm like:
And this is what I got:
Nope. I AM the kind of person to say told ya so.Unless he is on a dead server, they will.
There is still a crapload of people under 50, there is still a crapload of people doing Roulettes, and Tanks will always be the most required job in DF.
Also keep in mind that a bunch of people will go do AST and MCH. Pretty sure there will be more of those than DRK.
TOLD YA SO.
Seriously though- all the polls on jobs for 3.0 showed astronomical numbers for people swapping from WAR/PLD to DRK, and SCH/WHM to AST.... and very few planned to roll MCH. One survey had a whopping 20% of participants state they plan to main DRK. It is just THAT popular. So this was in no way unforeseen nor a surprise.
As for how long it will last? Doubt it will last a month. I've already heard the horror stories from people about new DRK and AST having absolutely NO idea how to tank/heal.
Sadly some who REALLY want to play one of these jobs will cop so much s*** whilst trying to learn that they just give up and go back to their old job, others will realise it's not what they enjoy and do the same. It will balance out within a week or two.

Most frequent for me lately has been healer, actually.Nope. Dark Knight and Astrologian simply have too many prospective players trying to level them up right now. By comparison, Machinist is the least popular of the three classes. For the foreseeable future all the low-level dungeons will be DPS instant queue, and this won't even out until everyone's reached level 50+ (maybe not even until level 60, since people sticking to their current mains will still be leveling ahead of that pack).
It'll probably take a few weeks to a month before things even out again, but it won't be like before. Who knows if tank will still be the most-frequent 'adventurer in need' role? It's hard to tell with how popular DRK is.
Saw tank for high level roulette as well, and my guildhest queues are instant as healer.
/shrug
Certainly loving this q pop for dps right now, want to get smn to 50 asap before tackling the new jobs. I thought I would need to unlock sch for insta q"s guess nothowever my poor topaz carby has had to come to the rescue far too much :3
it takes me from 3 to 9 mins as a drk to get into a dungeon.
High-level roulette is irrelevant because OF COURSE people haven't reached level 50 yet on the new jobs, what made you think otherwise?
Guildhest queues being instant is to be expected, however, since they're much, much shorter than dungeons (with many of them lasting 3-5 minutes as opposed to the 30-45 minutes of low-level dungeons), and there are a lot more guildhests to run than there are dungeons.
So far in my experience leveling MCH, I have not had to wait for a single queue... basically since I started playing the class. This is pretty much entirely within expectations given the results of previous polls on pre-release job hype. Also consider that there are two DPS slots per party, but only ONE of the new classes is a DPS job, AND that DPS job is less popular than either the tank or healer job.
Things will probably even out a lot once most players reach the 50+ range, but not until then.
Well first week is always chaotic.
DPS Queue and Tank Queue may start returning to their original state after 1 week or 2 weeks but hey you got to enjoy the moment while it last. After all it is not everyday that DPS are given Instant Queues.
Heck it is amazing we even have instant queues at all considering DPS Queue history.
I blame all the batmans out there. = O
That would make me one happy Dragoon, if the que wasn't 350+ x_x
