Voice Acting

Has anyone else noticed how literally almost all voice actors have changed for characters, such as Midgardsormr, Alphinaud, Alisae, Tataru, Cid, etc? Why is this?

Not to be picky but.. the new voice actors really don't suit the characters at all. Merlwyb sounded great in 2.x as did Raubahn, and now they sound silly, the voices don't match the characters one bit.

Why has this happened? So many voice actors disappearing from XIV all at once doesn't sound good.

First thing I noticed.
These new people sound AWFUL. It's pretty jarring going from one voice to a totally different voice, in the span of a single quest turn-in.

A lot of people said the dubbed voice acting in this game was god awful.

On the flip side, apparently the Japanese players said the exact same thing with the Japanese voices.

I must admit, I was shocked when Alphinaud first started talking. I would love to know the reason why a new voice actor was hired. I really liked the voice acting in the main game/patches... has Merlwyb changed them? Hope not, shes my favorite characters...
