As for the whole Raen issue, it's not that hard to find a reason for them to explore. Like, not at all. "Because I want to." doesn't make you a special snowflake character. There are a hundred reasons I can come up with. New adventurers in your land? Curious to meet them? Guess what? A new reason to venture out just opened up organically. You can go wherever from there.

Elderly-ish Raen? In your infinite wisdom, you have discovered peace, and wish to journey the land to help spread this knowledge instead of keeping it within the confines of your own race. Or you can be a crazy old coot who just needs to stretch their legs.

Young Raen? Screw it! You're young and rebellious! Your elders don't know what you want, and your friends never quite got you anyway.

Be an exile. Or say you've found some sort of artifact near your homeland, and want to know more of its story. This is a new generation for this culture, and with war on the horizon, excuses can be a dime a dozen why you left the safety and serenity of home.

They are also romanizing using Hepburn romaji. I don't remember the various specifications, but they stated they're dropping things likes 'ou' for long 'o' and from their Yuu- examples, they're also dropping double 'u'. Maybe even dropping 'ei' for long 'e'. So um.... yeah... get as close as you can.

As from Xaela ... does ANYONE study Mongolian, ever? Other than some all beef foods?

Looking on the French lore forums, they have it spelled Qalli both times, so I'd assume that to be the correct one. Surprised there are typos in these naming conventions when they dangled them over our heads for so long...
