Some people keep using terms incorrectly. If the servers are down when they are trying to get on then it has to be because of hackers. Heaven forbid it might be any number of other, more plausible reasons. Where's that Inigo Montoya picture when you need it...

Has SE said anything about the EU datacentre and moving it to an actual EU location? they said they would be doing it for HW, but haven't really seen anything about it

You could take it down for 72 hours, and there will be one or two big-ticket issues missed. XD

I'd like to have faith that someone ran the numbers of how many preorder there are and adjusted servers accordingly but I won't hold my breath. They didn't do it with 2.0.
