Yeah, they both look good, but I would prefer the first one.

The mysterious queen of the night, or the princess of bright skies? :O I can understand why it's so hard for you to decide. I like them both, but... I think I prefer the second one. But that's just me, because I like the softer , friendly look in general. At first glance she may seem more common looking, but she is not. She has something special about her, and would make for a perfect healer!

Don't get me started on classes though, the decision if I want to focus on BLM/BRD or WHM/ASTRO is nearly as hard as with which look I'll go xD
Maybe if I decide on one of both, the other will naturally fall in. Like, if I choose the Raen, I'll go for healer and if I stick to Xaela I'll stay main dps o,o

Again: I like the first one better, mainly because the hair looks pretty aerodynamic so horns to the back seem to fit better (less air resistance? xD).
Also, although that is just a weird personal view, the darker shade around the eyes in the first design makes him look more dangerous, while the markings on the second remind me a tiny little bit of a female's eyeliner :x
There is nothing wrong with guys wearing that! xD It's just personal preference

Having a hard time choosing which face I want to go with. I was pretty set on face 2 for a while as I thought face 1 was too deadpan, but after messing around with some options I'm torn . She's pretty plain, but I wanted to keep the same color scheme I always use for my characters ^^. Wish I could use the second horns on face 1, they're my favorite horn option.

If you are still torn, just flip a coin. If the result disappoints you a little, then go for the other one XD

Nope, I dabble in all classes. I named my character Kare Ruhts, that sounds the same. So I can get mad at anyone who call me carrots
I thought of this from Anne Shirley getting mad at Gilbert Blythe for calling her carrots in Anne of Green Gables. The Canadian elementary school I went to made me watch Anne of Green Gables movies several times...
