Why don't they revive the Scions are Twelve story?

They very well could take the story into new manifestations. I mean if you look at the trailer it seems like they're filling in the casting gaps in the Scions. We've got a new dark knight, a dragoon, a paladin, no clue what Iceheart would be if she does indeed ultimately sign up. We are missing a female elf after all!

Also, they're just physical manifestations. Their death doesn't mean the death of the God itself.

I think the scions will be alive but I also think by the end of 3.0 they'll be riding back seat to us and our new allies. (Iceheart being one of them)

Over all I think we're putting to much stock in the title Arcon to know as little about that title and how its obtained.

For all we know Louisoux knew the Archon legend and gave it as titles to the circle if knowing to play off of the people's beliefe in the 12 for his plan.

While also knowing full well that it was total BS from the moment he claimed it.

As someone who earnestly pondered G'raha Tia's place in the world and setting after the resolution of the Crystal Tower expedition, I would strongly advise against thinking too hard about our upcoming companions and their roles after Heavensward's Main Scenario. You're only setting yourself up for some serious disappointment/heartbreak.

As someone who earnestly pondered G'raha Tia's place in the world and setting after the resolution of the Crystal Tower expedition, I would strongly advise against thinking too hard about our upcoming companions and their roles after Heavensward's Main Scenario. You're only setting yourself up for some serious disappointment/heartbreak.

I mainly see the scions stepping back from the front lines. If they are dead then that causes it, if they re alive then I belive they'll see how much we did with out them and leave us to take the charge from there on and support our lead instead.

As for Iceheart and Einsteian, I saw us needing Iceheart for something a while back, we can work with her with out nessicerily being her ally. As for Mr. Dragoon, I could of sworn I killed him at Steel Vigile but he aparently lived. So only time will tell how he fits in.

You misunderstand me. Ysayle and Estinien will play a roll in Heavensward, that's basically confirmed, but I would be hesitant to start printing out "long-term character" stickers for either of them, or anyone else we meet in the expansion's story. Assuming either or both of them even survive, you can be some sort of circumstances will make sure that a third Echo wielder or the Azure Dragoon of Ishgard will decide they have more "important" things to do than, say, stick around an use their abilities to help us out with the aftermath.

It would continue to "fill out the family" as it were because they just happen to be the classes/jobs missing in the current line-up.

Again, G'raha Tia (only major male Miqo'te anywhere, first and only archer). He even had all the same trademarks as the Scions, but look at where he ended up.

Who are these twins you referred to, to represent Nald'Thal. The only twins I recall in the game are the lala sons of the roe who owns the miners guild. Did I miss anyone?

Edit: wait no, I am dumb, I know who you mean, so stupid of me, lol. I forget about Alisaie because she wasn't in the main story much, lol.

On a side note what about bigs or wedge could they be anyone. Or maybe Llymlaen is Iceheart. I mean, she has the echo, and is trying to "guide" you on the "right" path. And Llymlaen was the "Navigator", seems fitting.
