I still am waiting for a solid argument for not releasing unsubbed lots. I get the whole "It is mine and I want it" aspect, but this does not apply to other facets of the game that has finite resources. It almost feels as though insults are substituted for actual reasoning. FCs that quit and come back with new patches are clearly not at the game for the housing. Players that are not subscribed, but might come back are not at the game for housing. I just do not see a valid reason to keep parts of the game locked off from paying subs. If all non-active accounts lose the land, then they do come back, they would then have the opportunity to purchase it when someone else leaves the game. From a sustainability aspect for SE, if housing is that big a deal to a player, it would continue to generate the monthly fee out of fear of losing the land.
Also, I currently own a house, so this is not someone whining about wanting something that another player has. This is just something I feel would greatly improve the QOL in the game.

Get over your self. House owners are a minnority but the smaller minority are whiners that cant take "Be patient, we got this" as an answer. The majority of peolle with out houses are quietly waiting and saving up even more money. One of my LS members mannaged to buy an entier manchion for himself in the down time between plot instalmemts.

Put half the effort you spend bitching into saving and you could too. Even on Balmung it takes a while for large plots to sell.
