Still no word on Au Ra Naming Conventions?

The most hilarious thing about this post is that about 99% of the people here complaining about this don't follow the lore for the naming of their current race. Why bother to follow it in 3.0 if you never have done so before hand?

I'm willing to bet that most people named their current main characters without thinking that they'd like to conform to any lore, or without looking into it, and that has now changed.
I think the distribution in this thread is pretty even; there are certainly a lot of non-lore conforming names, but certainly a lot of conforming ones as well.
Besides, what people have done in the past is no indication of how they are now and in the future.

And as for me, with my Au Ra I'm going to have 15 characters, and all of them follow the lore. :P

Balmung has plenty of players that DO follow the naming conventions for RP, etc.
I'm waiting for this too >.<
Getting kind of impatient haha. They're gonna wait for everyone to name change at once so that no one can name change!

Seems like an unfortunate oversight to be honest. Clearly it is considered low priority, and I understand that from a business perspective. Although the earlier post by the devs about how they're waiting for the green light on it is perplexing to me, because that suggests they're holding it out deliberately. Perhaps the lore is somehow spoilery?

It's a tad frustrating to change to an Au Ra who is essentially nameless, that is such a huge part of your characters' identity! It'll be weird keeping my cat name as a lizard.

I... sort of just guessed based on Yugiri. I mostly want the naming schemes because I want to know if Sakura's last name will be more of a title she earned as an astrologer (not Astrologian. She's Raen and Doman.)

Actually if we are solely basing it off how Yugiri was named, then Heavensgazer would be correct, since she is called Yugiri Mistwalker in a story battle instance

That's flawed though, because that's just a "NPC name". People in Eorzea of various races have similar names, so I highly doubt it's an Au Ra thing.

It really just bothers me that there's so much attention to the naming convention of a race that is truly just novelty.. I want to know the names too. I just think people's attention could be better spent trying to get SE to fix the RMT issue, than release the lore behind names.
