LOL the market system sucks. If you want people to play this worthless game, DELETE the MARKET WARDS. BUILD AN AUCTION HOUSE!

In an unarticulate way I have to agree.![]()
Whats difference between MW and AH? not including: Position/Movement of character, History/Current pricing
Market Wards currently > Auction House. All they needed were a few improvements, and they have been made. You can even summon your retainer if it is selling in the wards now. All they need now is to make it go back to selling after you are done with it. No need for them to bother with an auction house, more important things are necessary now.
With Market wards you see exactly how much you need to pay.
With Market wards you can't accidentally pay 10x what you meant to.
I would like to see some improvements to the wards though:
Improved searching / filtering options so its easier to find items not just by name;
Preferably remove all the retainers stood around in there and just use the stalls instead;
Show HQ items with their improved grade;
Show previews of items as you scroll through them, showing improvements to current equipment if applicable.
MW seems fine to me. Once I found out I could search for things. <_<
The game got alot more appealing to me the last two days I played.
I learned how to use the Market Ward to its full potential with the search feature and use personal retainers.
I also got into my first party ever in FFXIV, which I have to say was tons of fun. I don't want to ever solo past lvl 10 again. ^_^
I think the MW just needs a bit more tweaking and it should be fine.
If they do happen to bring back the FFXI type AH, I wouldn't mind that either.

Like I said before I don't see the wards lasting, assuming the popluation for the game picks back up. Since with wards having a limit on the amount of retainers per ward and LL/Grid being a ghost town most of the time I see these as flaws that need to be fixed to help new players out.
I just said not including Price: Current.......With Market wards you see exactly how much you need to pay.

Ok...
The market wars definitely need some major fixing if they plan on keeping them.
I don't understand this idea with people that say "Oh if we have an AH we'll overpay..."
No.
Even if we avoid having an AH, there will -always- be people who overprice goods, and there will -always- be people who suffer the consequences of paying too much. Imo, the wards take too long to load due to all the NPCs and I really dislike having to warp from place to place. It would be much easier if we got rid of this feature altogether and implemented an Auction House.
The solution to inflation and unfair pricing:
Create multiple listings so you aren't FORCED to overpay. For example... I'll search for a cotton boll. Instead of one listing coming up saying the average price is 350, I'll get several listings that say:
Cotton boll x1:
200 gil
200 gil
200 gil
300 gil
400 gil
500 gil
500 gil
etc. depending on how many people are selling, and choose which one to bid on.
Implementing an AH isn't a priority right now, but it should be done once they fix some major parts of FFXIV.
