Seems bots are finishing main scenario now?

That other thread seemed 100% positive that the MSQ requirement would keep bots out.

Anyone who thinks that that would keep gil spamming bots out entirely doesn't know much about how determined they are. That being said, at least it'll slow them down a little within the new areas, and force the ones that just use level 1 /shout and /say spamming to stick to the current areas. Plus any bans they recieve will have more of an effect since it'll force them to redo the MSQ and get to 50 to recover from it, compared to just making a new character.......

Probably crafting mats that drop from mobs. Things will be overpriced for a while, and RMT probably want to get a cut while they can.

Or maybe mobs in HW duties will drop more gil, or stuff will vendor for more (or gear -> seals -> mats -> MB). I dont know what RMT is more likely to do, but I guess the possibility is there.

How would SoF stop an army of position hacking bots, hovering in an area they can't be touched, spamming nukes?

The thing about a bot is... it's a bot. A computer doesn't get discouraged. A computer doesn't give up.
It just keeps going on and on.

So getting "all the way to 50" and doing "all those quests" are just a few loops in it's code and some time passed. In fact, it wouldn't even care about the time passed. There's likely nobody sitting behind the keyboard.

While this is great, it also says to me, they'll get reported less often. They can amass some kind of bot hell army and invade Ishgard all at once, ruining my Christmas, beach vacation, or whatever I'm imagining myself doing while I idle in town.

I suspect its the Hp nerf that lets them do it. The Hp reduction that lets the average group kill Vishap allowed i90 Bots to nuke Vishap to death without using the Cannons.

It has honestly been suggested, seriously, that the MSQ is keeping the bots out.

Right now there is nothing causing the pitfall of a ban to effect RMT. RMT are currently playing under the guise of ARR and nothing else. Once RMT are forced to have ARR+HW and complete MS to get into 3.0 area they will be hit hard, but those effects can't be seen until the first rotation of bannings occur once 3.0 goes live.
