Just a reminder of 1.0 things you have to get rid of before HW

Just in case anyone forgot or missed the announcement a couple of months back, cracked materia and the old primal items like seals and tokens will no longer be able to be exchanged when Heavensward comes out.

That deadline is approaching quickly now so if you put it off and forgot, or if you simply didn't know, you should really get on top of that ASAP.

Good stuff. The seals/tokens exchanges for a handful of old tomes aren't a big deal but I know materia (especially III's and IV's) are likely to be wanted in 3.0 and finding you hoarded them until too late to change them would suck >_<

Maybe just keep one of each type and cash in the rest? At least for the valuable and useful cracked materia.

I said I wouldn't bump this but it's not like I'm making demands or trying to force my opinion on other people. This is just a service announcement aimed at helping players so I figure, what's the harm? It's visible from the title that it's for 1.0 players only and it is important that they get this information before it's too late. We're coming up to the last weekend before it's too late and a lot of people are more active around this time so making it visible now seemed like a good idea. Sorry if it's technically against the rules but it's well intentioned.

I have a horrible memory, but, in the original version of Final Fantasy XIV, before A Realm Reborn launched, when you fought a primal like Ifrit, you had a chance of either having the weapon for your class/job drop, or you got tokens you could save up and eventually trade in for the drop you were hoping for. Ifrit, for example, would either drop a fiery weapon, or "Infernals" I believe they were called. I still have Ifrit's Bow and Cudgel on my main from 1.0... still haven't leveled Arc/Bard to 50 ;p

ANYwho, among other items, these tokens survived the transfer to A Realm Reborn/2.0, and a system was put in place to be able to exchange them for tomes. The exchange rate is kinda crap though, so unless you'd amassed a considerable amount, some may feel like they'd rather hang on to them just because they're no longer obtainable in the game.
