When and IF new races come out

I would hope the devs know that introducing a cool new race to XIV, but it not being playable, would kinda be a slap in the face lol... I mean they could have easily done it with Male Mithra in XI, but they didn't. Therefore I find it hard to believe they would here.

I think it's more likely that Yoshida-san meant "playable" races. But since he didn't say that specifically I won't get my hopes up. XD
But yeah, it'd be an epic troll to say "Sure we'll add more races," in a thread full of people asking for "playable" races, and then having them not be so. lol

It seems you're talking about something else. We weren't talking about the missing genders.
We already know that the missing genders will be playable.

We were talking about brand new races being added in the future. Where Yoshida-san only said they would be added. Nothing about playable or not. Again, here:

Edit: Since you brought up the missing genders, I have not seen Yoshida-san say anything more about being able to change gender/race when they're added at PS3 release. Only that he was looking into the possibility. May I please have a link to where you claim he said it was a sure thing?

They want to add race that are unique to eorzea which sound nice. I think they be playable but i don't think they allow other face switch lol.
