Pretty funny (again) considering those who "force their opinions on everyone else" are those who say "I don't like it, so you can't have it, get out of my sight". Same for the "kids" who get angry. The hypocrisy is strong in this thread.

I am quite sure that nowhere in the terms of service does it say that player's are entitled to such requests.

I'm sorry this is solely your opinion, not based on facts. You do not know (or apparently don't read the OP.) the real reason why this is an issue for several of us. It is an underlining issue that keeps rearing it's ugly head at us of inequality, which in this day and age shouldn't be such an issue.

You have given no facts, that this outcry is based on some "trend" what trend? What are you talking about? I have no clue honestly.

You're making baseless assumptions of several peoples age in the thread..., how do you know this information? Aside from the obvious trolling, there have been good points given and good retorts given through out the thread, you seem to only want to focus on the seemingly negative aspects of the thread as a whole, which is not the entire thread.

I come from a middle generation of gamers, not too old, not too young. I don't see this as a generation gap either, personally I don't see the point in attacking others just for having an opinion. The Devs have opened up communications with us in the past, and want our feedback. This isn't new information, and the invitation for open discussion has never been rescinded either...

So again, what is you're trying to get out with your post?

As for the topic on hand, I haven't been in the thread for awhile, and I had completely forgotten that quote that is now floating around about what was said about finally making more gender specific gear for males. That really saddens me that, it doesn't even take an outcry anymore for female characters to obtain unisex gear automatically out the gate, and those who want it for male characters seemed to be shunned. As far as the Dev's and Mod's attention, I assume Heavensward is taking a lot of time and energy and most likely won't see this issue addressed till after launch. Which is when they'll most likely get to the nitty gritty of addressing a lot of unanswered issues at the moment.

By that logic, it wasn't the end of the world for females to be unable to equip the Gambler outfit and they should've just kept their traps shut and accepted it. Instead, quite a few people threw an enormous fit about it and it was changed.

I swear, this latest generation of players need to grow up and learn that the reality of the world is that just because something becomes a new fad doesn't mean that you should force your new-age opinions on everyone else.

It has nothing to do with any of that and everything to do with the clear bias shown toward female characters. Most people would be perfectly fine with males not being able to wear dresses if 90% of the "male" glamour options weren't actually able to be worn by females as well. We don't get "female exclusive" and "male exclusive". We get "female exclusive" and "unisex".

I fully support the OP of this thread. It's not fair that female characters are allowed to wear the so called "male-specific" gear constantly and the male characters cannot wear the so called "female-specific" gear. It's really stupid to lock out items like that and they should just ALL be uni-sex. I'm still waiting for them to unlock the damn bunny ears! I would love to have a glamour with them... (Granted, it's the only female item I've really wanted up to this point but I would be more than happy to support other male characters wearing anything they want, including this lovely dress!)

I wouldn't be so peeved about it if there was an equal amount of female and male only items but it's always the same story with them. Here are "male" glamours and "female" glamours but female characters can wear the male ones too. People should be allowed to wear whatever they want, no matter what other people think...

I don't play a male character and while I do find the look a bit odd, that's just MY opinion. If other folks like the look of that gear on male then I'M ALL FOR IT. I don't see why they shouldn't be allowed to wear it. But that being said, if they get to wear the female one, I want to wear the male one too :P

It was never changed. It was always equippable by everyone, and people threw a fit for no reason.

The devs don't see most of the things we post, and even if they did they could never react that quickly. It takes them at least 3 months to do a thing.

Well male outfit can be wear by any gender while female isn't, just like Gambler set

I might be wrong on that one, though, but I do recall all the topics -DEMANDING- that Girls be allowed to wear the Boy's outfits, which was the major point he was making - Female characters often complain about their options (See the AF design of dragoons, for another example) but the moment the reverse comes up, it's suddenly "Not meant for males" (many female-only outfits) and that we need to be happy with what we have.

In defense of girl PCs, I'm still pretty darn mad about the horrendous look of the AF DRG gear. I really wish they'd change it to look like the guys and have a glamour version (Available for both!) with the belly hole.
