Hi all Ade here, I'm so happy I get to vote again...been awhile xD since I've been judging cycle 4, haven't gotten the chance! WHAT I CAN ONLY VOTE FOR 7?! Dammit Rongi!! I love all these babies Dx

I think the "at your own risk" is right when it comes to this voting. It makes me feel pretty uncomfortable that models and judges in this current cycle are allowed to fan vote. Models, most predominantly, make me personally feel uneasy. If you vote for others and not yourself, you are basically hurting your own chances if you are voted off and you just look selfish if you vote for yourself. I hope people are taking that into consideration as well before voting. =(

I really hesitated to vote for this reason. I actually had a discussion with Terrini in the game - since I've seen the whole portfolio and know what's coming, I've got a better expectation of who might get sent to the couch in the next couple of rounds. (And since I got sent to the couch myself in Cycle 4, I know how heartbreaking it is.) And since all the shots were so close and AMAZING, I decided to not necessarily match my fan votes to the judging votes to spread the love around some.

The list is in order of top 7 best in my honest opinion. Do points matter based on people's rankings, I have no idea, but /shrug. When you're in bottom 2, you tend not to care.

1. Masha
Jesus, girl. What can I say about this that you don't already know? The colors, framing, composition. All of it is gorgeous and spot on. It looks like your last angle of breathe as Ifrit corners you and you pierce an arrow through his heart. It's dynamic, and /spectacular/! If the rest of your shots hold this level of quality, I fear for everyone.
2. Doki
The horizon line across the entire screen shot does very well letting the eye travel through your picture cleanly. The colors do a fantastic job of drawing yourself into the picture itself, leaving a dramatic looking pose as its from your back angled up, even Ifrit looks bothered haha. I like this one a lot as well, it looks simple yet in depth at the same time. Great job!

3. Koriander
Although Ifrit's face is covered, I still admit I really really like this one as well. Perhaps it's the book and how clenched and desperate you look? Either way, the shadows on your dress look pretty spiffy as well.
4. Rina
Girl I already told you how much I liked this one! : > Ifrit's pose is truly badass and in extension how you even managed to throw in a face shot makes it all the more better. Even with your body clipped, I still think it looks super superb!
5. Dragon Lily
What I enjoy of this shot is all about the timing and how the fire is hitting your sword. A bit too pulled out for a super impressive shot, but it was still neat!
6. Terrini
It must be hard taking Lala shots in a fight, I can't even imagine that pain! Although you're spaced away, it looks super cool. Like Ifrit is doing this sweep of ravaging fire and you're about to throw up some spell to protect yourself. (Plus you're so adorable!)

7. Ruki
In an unbiased attempt, I sat down and wrote names in order. And, honestly, I thought my SS was better then graded. It may be the time and effort spent in it, I'm not sure. But, although people may find it scarce and horrid I vote for myself- I honestly found that I should respectively be in this spot. I would feel even worse if I lied just to save face, you know? That said,
I guess why I felt so enthralled and picked this particular shot /was/ because of the fire growing up all around me during his Hellfire phase. In fact, I timed it just so. Buckling her knees down and embracing for a strong attack, it looks like the world itself is erupting in fire. And, isn't that what Ifrit is all about? Being consumed by the ferocity of flames itself! That, and the positioning looks neato.

Hah, with that out of the way- I thought all the shots were great. =) Everyone brought something different to the table and they all looked cool in their own way.

Watch out everyone, Mini was given the ability to vote, so get ready for an EXPLOSION of votes and a tiny rant. But first! The votes! (In no particular order)

Masha - There is just something about this amazing shot that I just LOVE! I think it's the explosions and how they frame the shot...or how you actually managed to use Ifrit's lighting to make you really pop!

Doki - The use of water to balance the fire was brilliant as well as your choice of gear. Your power is completely overpowering Ifrit! And after working on this short for weeks straight, I love watching him squirm for once! I wish it hadnt been a back shot, but I understand your reasoning....to face the camera doing this would not have looked right.

Dragonlily - The fact that his flame frames behind you and makes you really stand out as you face his fury, made this shot really stand out to me! I like your choice of gear and stance. It's almost like you can just see the pressure of the flames that you're blocking.

Terrini - Terrini! This shot was puled off beautifully! Like Masha, you were able to have Ifrit's lighting work in your favor (no easy task). That combined with such an amazing pose and Ifrit desperately trying to incinerate you made this another shot to be feared! I agree a bit that carbuncle might have balanced the shot a bit more if he hadn't jumped, but I'm sure this shot was hard enough to grab as it was.

Eldaena - I didn't think I would have been able to see such an elegant shot in an Ifrit battle! But sure enough you pulled it off! This is a stunning shot of you as you demand the spotlight. I only wish you had been facing the other way facing Ifrit as you show him that white mages are not to be messed with, either way it was beaufitully executed and still a top contendor for this round.

Flutterborn - Phew! I hope you popped a breathmint in there while he was at it! I could only imagine his putrid breath as you readied to split his skull like a melon. Nothing like getting up close and personal with the powerhouse that is Ifrit with another powerhouse that is Flutterborn! Good choice of gear as well! I like the golden armor!

Mini Ninja - Why I feel this deserves top seven is the explosion, the balance of the explosion and Ifrit framing the shot. Mini standing out with the protect spell. I feel as though without it, he would have blended in too well. The pose timed with the explosion and Ifrit's claws curcled in the air as he eyes the lalafell hungrily was not easy to capture. As I'm sure Doki and Terrini can agree with, it's not easy getting a good shot with such a large enemy as such a tiny person. I wish I coudl have gotten a tighter shot, but every one I took just didn't seem to feel justified. Overall this shot just screamed action (and imo) balance.

I'm here to vote and I think my evaluation is fair. I don't feel as though mine was the best this week. But I do feel as though it deserved top seven. You can take it or leave it.

Terrini, I wouldn't have thought any less of you if you had kept your votes up. Your shot was amazing this week, and definitely deserves a top position. I don't think people should think any less of models that vote for themselves if the shot is good. I can see if the model just flat out said "My shot's the best this week." without any kind of justification, but there is nothing wrong with appreciating the amount of time, and effort and blood and sweat and tears that went into your shot. I know every. single. model. worked hard on their shots. It does not make you look selfish.
