Physical versions for consoles are the same on Brazil. Luckily not digital pc games.Well so it was a mistake....
But here, what he said is no less true.... 3rd world countries like ours are used to ripping ppl off with imported stuff.
I live in Argentina and I have the exact same problem, if you import a physical copy of the game, you have to pay outrageous custom taxes (and pray no one from custom office or the mail steals it) and it'll take 3-6 months to arrive average.
If you buy the DD you have to pay the goverment tax of "purchases made abroad" (cough 35% cough)....so my Heavensguard expact actually costed me USD 60 + 21 tax = USD 81
I really hope this price is a mistake, it does not make any sense.

Fallout 4 is R$249 now. Yay! Even physical console versions will be cheaper. That's even worse...

Fallout got overpriced for A LOT of currencies, though. You can check it at Steamdb.
Our issue got some coverage at UOL Jogos. I guess it's a start. Here's hoping more places can bring this to everyone's eyes.

is there any pronouncement made by SE or Valve about this price? At least let us know what's going on!
@edit: I guess someone said that the price passed to Steam by SE was about $39,90/59,90 for standard /CE versions, which means R$+-120,00/RS+-180,00, and no 180~230

I managed to save £15 by sending euros to someone and getting them to buy and gift to me, may be worth looking at whether you can do that?

Okay, looks like we got a answer from steam about this issue:
"In portuguese":

This basically means that Valve puts the resposability on SE, at the time when SE puts the responsabilty on Valve.
I rly have no idea what to do now.

I, for one, won't be preordering the expansion (which i was planning to do).
This price for the Steam/PSN is actually more expensive than buying it online, and we as Steam users are locked to only being able to upgrade it with a steam HW upgrade.
It's just a ridiculous slap in the face of brazilian customers, and really over the top considering it's a monthly sub game.
Too bad this thread will be probably ignored (as it was on reddit) since we're a minority in this game community.

Any news from Square? Where the modarators here?

So will be like a "ping-pong" game. Valve putting the responsability to SE and SE putting on Valve.Okay, looks like we got a answer from steam about this issue:

Guess that they're doing this, thinking that we're idiots and will buy it with this abusive price. Unfortunally there's ppl that buy and they only look at those and not to most part that don't have condiiton to buy it
