imo its more about being able to access those new jobs asap then take advantage of the MSQ for quick power leveling of the new jobs to speed to 50+ on new toons instead of leveling it like every1 else XD its not really about the " new" players at all lalala :P

Even if they add Xp reward for MSQ, I seriously doubt it can be considered "power leveling" compared to Duty Roulette + FATE grind.

Since when "story focused" is relevant when we talk about "power leveling" ?
Again, new players have a lot of content to do before reaching Heavensward, why the hell would they want to skip it ?
If it's because they ONLY want to play as DRK, MCH and AST, they...can't. Deal with it.

im talkin about the people complaining about new jobs being gated behind story lol said previously if a new player buys ff14... classes locked behind story quests arent really gonna bother them at all... whole new world for them to explore n enjoy its just people saying new players wont be happy not being able to access ishgard right away lmao... in reality they arent happy about the classes gated behind story :PSince when "story focused" is relevant when we talk about "power leveling" ?

This thread is a pretty good example of how entitled people can get. It is basically asking for things to be handed to you on a silver platter.
I understand people like focusing heavily on the economic side of the game, but seriously, this is a game that mainly focuses on battle content. If you are playing the game without engaging in almost all the content because you like sitting in one of the three nations doing nothing but making items all day, I think you are playing it wrong. It is okay if you rather focus heavily on crafting, but you need to realize this is a battle content based game, not a crafting one. Crafting is only a plus and a means to serve the main core of the game's system.
As for the new jobs. I don't think people know what Hero Classes are. In WoW, you need to achieve lv.55 on a character to unlock becoming a Death Knight. SE is taking a similar approach with DRK, AST, and MCH. I think it is great. You work towards expanding the armory and it does not clutter the three starting nations for when this game inevitably has 20+ jobs. You can't have your character start in other areas due to story reasons. I am sure people are going to disagree with me on this, but I don't mind ever putting the effort in to get things I want.
As for gating Ishgard off. Seriously folks, it is a Final Fantasy game. It is a series based very heavily on it's story. You do not have to care about this story to enjoy it, but you need to acknowledge you are a minority on that aspect and many enjoy the story of the game. So when you ask "I want in Ishgard now when I start the game.", you are basically asking to tear down the game's lore just so you can feel more like a traditional MMO. FFXIV may use a lot of traditional set ups MMO-wise, but it still knows how to bring it's own thing also. It's heavily engaging story is one of them. Have fun with it, accept it, or find an MMO that is not like that.
Also, just to play technicalities here, you do have access to some form of the expansion at the beginning of the game. Being able to be an Au'Ra.

I always saw the Death Knight as an "achievement" for getting a level 55 character. I wonder why people can't see it like that here. And not only WoW does that, Tera, for example, does it as well with their Reaper Class, and it's class-locked even. But yeah, entitled people are entitled, some delusional customers that believe their money should give them access to everything with little/no-effort and/or the way they want.
They won't change it now and no, it's not a "lesson for the next expansion". As many people pointed it out before, for new players, everything will be new content. Their way from 1-50 will be one experience and their way from 50-60 will be another experience. And now, with dungeons being unlocked without level/gear sync, these guys can get "carried" by a level 50/60 friend. Extra points for being social in an MMO and being in a FC/LS.
Because not wanting to deliver letters pick up tea or collect flowers at max level with out any form of xp reward is wanting something handed to them?

Player : フェアリーのミラプリも作ってるんですか?
(Any plan on Fairies glamour?)
Yoshi'p Sampo: フェアリーはエギではないので、予定がないです。残念ながら。
(Since Fairies aren't Egi so, No.)
