Are +1,+2,+3 items going to mean anything or do they already?

I don't know if this has been brought up, but is there any noticeable benefit to having a + item, or will there be a more distinct benefit in the future? The items I see seem to have the same stats as the nq ones, they just have stars next to stats...am I missing something?

Ah I see...thanks for clarifying. So is a +3 a 15% increase or does it taper off? And wouldn't it be simpler to just put +5dex vs +3 or something in the long run...

Doesn't it also mean a slower rate of damage to the item Thevedis? O.o And thanks for your reply as I didn't even KNOW that lol.

im not sure if it slows down the damage or not, as damage is pretty slow as is already on items that arent "weak" such as wood items and such

I think the reason they went with a % system instead of a +stat system for HQing items was as a time saver.

the system can recognize a % stat increase on an item based on its hq value easily.
but if you were to give each stat its own +str/ + vit etc etc based on its hq value, each item may have different values for what that means

    an example

50 defense on my item under current system
    = 53 defense as a +1, 55 as a +2, 58 as a +3

if you were to assign it a + stat based on its hq, youd have to manualy go in and decide what bonus each item gets....

in 11, a +1 item had 1 more of every stat that got a bonus.....+1 out of 50 is not impressive at all here, while a +3 stat increase is

and some items wouldnt get +3 at hq1, itd get only a +1, or in the case of some really high ranked items with close to 100 of a stat it would get +5 or more of a stat at +1

HQs also have more Durability, hence degrade slower.

So I assume a +3 would be 15% (or less, if it tapers off, like +5%,+3% whatever) of the base stat, not 5% of the previous amount...if that makes sense.

    So a 40 defense stat with 3 starts would be 15% of 40, not 40 +5% =42, 42+5%=44.1, so on..
I admit after doing that example 40 is a bad number...but with higher numbers I think it would make more of an impact.

Just a curiosity, don't really care either way what the method is :P

yes +3 is a 15% boost to the base stat

also remember the bonus is rounded up, not down(so if an item only has 1 stat point, the +1 still gives it a +1 bonus, although at that point a +2/3 also only give it a +1 bonus lol)
