Note that any time the game shows you an item (as a recipe ingredient, as a requirement for a quest or mission, on the Market Board, whatever) you can right-click and select to search for it and it will immediately tell you if you have it and if so, where it is, including your retainers' inventories

This is helpful, but just consider the time it takes to right click the search, dismiss your currently opened retainer, summon the other retainer, load their inventory screen, grab item, dismiss retainer, open crafting log, search next material, repeat process until all items are collected... Ugh kill me

It's just not that user friendly.. Who knows.. maybe SE wanted it that way..
