New glamour dress on a male (art)

Not to you obviously, but glamour is an important part of the game for me and to keep seeing this unjustified preference for a gender happening again and again and SE lack of reaction to a part of it's community despite multiples complains/requests will always bother me a lot.

Male characters already have access to a skirt in this game, and gay marriage is available. Nobody quit, and nobody will if more clothing options are available to the male sex.

Also WoW lets men wear dresses, and you see how poorly it's doing. *rollseyes*

I wonder if it's occurred to anyone at this point that maybe the person designing these outfits isn't personally comfortable with what amounts to crossdressing?
"B-but you should separate your hang-ups when you do a job!" Yeah that's great for customer service, but for a designer it may not be something they can do easily.
The trend they've shown as well as the feminine nature of most of the designs clearly tells me that there IS a preference for female characters in this game, especially among the designers of clothing, in particular these outfits.
They've done this at least three times now, and it doesn't seem like it'll be changing.
Then of course there's the cost-benefit thing, as more female are going to wear the male outfits than males wear the female, pretty much BECAUSE of the stigma.

Glamour is a really big part of this game for me, and I really hate that just because I decided I'd rather play with a pretty male character I get penalized.

While you mentioned glamours are a big part of the experience for you, you're not actively being penalized.


As a disclaimer I'm apathetic towards it.
You wanna be a big hulking muscle man in a dress, more power to you, and I mean that. But you have to understand that not everyone wants to do the tailoring for it.

They're not likely to frighten away girls playing the game (I am one so...) with these outfits being available to everyone and if the guys playing haven't been scared off yet by the things they've put out then I don't see where the issue is for having these unisex.

It's a touchy subject because it DOES bother the audience. It just does. I know it sucks but that's why they're doing it.
Some do not like seeing a male in females clothing.

Why do you think Marriage/EB was such a huge deal? They had to had to re-name it
and go own about it's on different story because there are people who don't support same-sex marriage.
It's controversial. Clothing is less but still people look down on it.
Real life does play a part because REAL players play this game. So they really have to think hard on it.
I hate when people judge and look down at folks on what they like and do so it is a little disheartening to see the player base upset about it.

I say hey, if they wanna wear girl clothes then who are we to judge? I use to wear guy clothes when I was younger so...
I'd hate to see people get attacked from it. You will all be told to roll a female character anyways. I've seen this happen so many topics now.
I dislike MOST gear and I wish I could like super cute sometimes but I won't quit the game over it.

Its obviously a dress designed for female characters. Especially that part that covers the breasts that wouldn't make any sense for a male character to wear.

But you act like they've never put out anything feminine/skimpy/sexy for males when that just isn't true. The problem is that lately they've gone down the road of making this sort of gear for females and then giving males something very different; when the players complain they make the male set unisex but leave the female set exclusive.
Things they've made in the past that are awesomely unisex or very similar between genders:
Taffeta/Coliseum set
Spring Skirt/Plain long skirt
Light steel set
Summer Maros
Scylla's set
Flame Elite hunt sets for DOM and lightweight DOW

I'm not on at the moment to look up more but those are a few that come to mind
