JP Midnight is great for Americans! (At least, those that don't have to work or go to school.)

...not so great for JP. "Yay, my game is being updated and I can finally try out Heavensward! At least until I collapse from exhaustion after a couple hours! Woo!"

4am in America is just about perfect for prime time play in Japan, which is why they do it. Being, you know, a Japanese game, and all... Just accept it, and go to bed early the night before. :3

I find that rather irrelevant when they have players from around the world. If they sell and make the game available to all then it certainly is more then Japan. Other places in the world do exist! I will be doing same thing I did during ARR launch..lol sleeping, and by time I wake up hopefully they'll fix most of the login issues hah.

With a worldwide game, SOMEONE is going to get screwed over. XD

Better to start the launch sometime when the devs will still be awake to field any problems that arise. And problems WILL arise.

Yes, the folks at SE will be burning the midnight oil that night, anyway, so it's for the best that they don't start buring that oil STARTING at midnight...
