Why are you talking to someone who quit?

Sorry, wasnt trying to be rude. I just dont understand, you came here, said your piece, explained why you personally didnt like the game and are continuing to argue. I'm not saying you are wrong in your opinion of the game or anything like that, but what do you hope to accomplish? Another redesign of the whole game?

People leaving for a while is to be expected, yet even that number is being offset by the sheer amount of disgruntled wow players flocking here because we're getting flying.

Honestly, if you think this game's direction is bad, you should see how the "daddy knows best" attitude the wow devs have is working out. They don't even visit their own forums because they're afraid of the criticism.

I've never seen more newbies in than I'm seeing right now (except for when ARR launched, of course).

My FC quieted down a bit, but now people are coming back to get ready for HW.

The servers are going to be so full once the expansion hit that, at times, we may WISH there had been an exodus... but I'm looking forward to the madness!

If you read through everything I have said in reply to others you'll see I'm the one who has tried not to argue, I have calmly replied to people who have tried to cause aggro. I thought I'd express my thoughts on the forum because this game has been a huge part of my life, and if you must know I am sad I feel this way because there's nothing I'd have loved more than to enjoy the game with the friends I've made. You're mistaken if you believe I've set out to do accomplish anything other than have discussion. SE are doing well with the number of people on the game, it'd just be nice if they listened to the players problems a little more, a little example is that I had more friend requests in a week on FFXIV than I do on my entire facebook which I've had for 3 years.

I'll leave it at that because it seems the many on this forum (as with most forums) can't handle someone who has a different opinion to their own.

Ortamus, they mentioned they are adding more loot rolling options. While that doesn't fix everything you don't like, it may be worth it to just take a break and read the feedback on the forums to see if it's a change you like that you'd maybe come back for.

If you do come back and need an fc, as long as you have a wide sense of humor and could transfer, the one I'm in would be happy to welcome you. If not, happy gaming in whatever game you move on to.

This is something I'd never rule out. There may be a time in the future where FFXIV attracts me once more, just it hasn't been for me for some time now. Thank you for your replies and being one of very few people with patience and understanding.

Alright hold up dude. You've made some decent points here and there, but now you're literally arguing over whether or not you're arguing.

So yeah, maybe you started it and maybe not, but you are definitely arguing at this point.

Just had 3 or 4 friends join in anticipation for Heavensward. One of which was a lv50 raider when ARR came out, but unsubscribed since. We all started new alts on a completely different server to level together. If we all keep playing, it's only going to get more friends to join and play with us. The game just got expanded, now even the content-starved players are coming back.


Sure, people get bored and quit, but new people are rolling in all the time. This game has a very good reputation, and it's only going to get more hype with Heavensward on the horizon. One of the good things about this MMO being subscription is that you can leave and come back. Alot of stuff has been added sense.

Well, thank you for sharing and i'm sorry you feel you need to leave. This game is supposed to be for fun and when it is no longer fun, you have no obligation to continue playing. I'm sorry the game does not meet your expectations. I could go through your initial posts if you like and offer my views on the things you mentioned but some people cant handle opposing views.

This has happened to most of the FC's I've been in. They start off great, then slowly people start to form their own personal groups. You move them away from that and things just go down hill.

To me it's been a clash between the two kinds of users. Again, this is the largest problem to me in this game and it's not the game design it's people.
