I have quit this game now after realising how pathetic I was wasting my time on it. How many hours have you all spent gathering? It's not even fun, you give hours and hours of your life for pixels on a screen without enjoying it, and what's the end result? A fishing rod which will only soon be replaced by another one. If it were fun then I'd say it was all time well spent but the fact is it isn't.

If you have left a game that you're not having fun playing, then you have made the correct decision! Don't presume, though, that you have any idea what the rest of us do and do not consider to be fun.

When it comes down to it, manipulating pixels with nothing to show for it is at the core of ANY video game. When you set down your controller after playing your current favorite FPS or MOBA, what, exactly, do you have to show for it? Nothing except personal satisfaction. You did not find that satisfaction with FFXIV, but there are plenty who do.

i am enjoying fishing a lot, i caught all fish and one of the reasons i don't quit the game is because there will be tons of new fish in 3.0 ^^/

thank you for all you guys help with showing how and where it would just seem like i would of not even got to where i am today.how even thought to catch any of these big fish it would of taken the first person years until they found any thing on such things.Keep on with the hints and cheats for the people that get stuck and think it's not going to go any further.

meals work like eating food maybe look to see what it has on the label to see stats and pick gathering and perception say +20 gathering +10 perception food.
