No, you really don't need the parts.

I mean, it's a bit ridiculous that these are all the materials required to craft a damn Rank 1 grey tunic:
4x Cotton Yarn (2x Cotton Boll + 1x Lightning Crystal)
9x Hempen Yarn (2x Moko Grass + 6x Lightning Shard)
2x Lead-grey Hemp Dye (1x Lead-grey Dyer's Moss, 1x Alumen, 1x Distilled Water, 5x Water Shard, 2x Fire Shard)
1x Copper Buckle (2x Copper Square [3x Copper Nugget, 5x Earth Shard], 1x Copper Nugget, 2x Earth Shard, 3x Fire Shard)
4x Copper Nugget (4x Yellow Copper Ore, 10x Fire Shard)
1x Buffalo Leather Strap (1x Buffalo Leather [1x Walnut Chips, 1x Buffalo Hide, 3x Water Shard, 8x Ice Shard], 8x Wind shard)

Shards:
39x Earth Shards
16x Wind Shards
17x Water Shards

It is absolutely ridiculous. So ridiculous, in fact, that it's incredibly hard to even list the required materials without making it look confusing without some trees.

Look at the damn Recipe List [LINK] from Yellow Gremlin. It's absurd.

EDIT: The above list isn't even counting what you make some of that stuff into, like Lead-grey Cotton Cloth and Undyed Cotton Cloth and the Lead-grey Hempen Tunic Front and etc. etc.
