Is There Any Point To Doing SCOB Turn 4 (Turn 9) Once You've Beaten It?

I was wondering if there was any incentives for people who cleared Second Coil of Bahamut Turn 4 to ever help people who never cleared Turn 9? Turn 9 is extremely long and unforgiving with a lot punishing instant death mechanics that even you're full 130 Augmented Ironworks gear won't save you. All the best gear drops are found in FCOB. And Duty Finder... You can forget duty finder itself which everyone has the "Bystander Syndrome" expects the other 7 members of the team to carry them.

As for that "Another Bind III" achievement, I'm pretty sure several Statics are waiting for Heavensward to get in their iLevel 170 with new Level 60 class abilities and then steamroll through it. But what about the little guys were late to the FFXIV ARR party who are now trying to get Turn 13 done before Heavensward launches and Turn 9 is their only roadblock?

It depends, although most have Shiva/Ironworks weapons for alts, some like the glamour (Tank Chest Piece comes to mind). I've helped out several players through T9 recently to get them into FInal coil, and I've seen alot of clear/learning parties for T9 as well in the recent weeks. It might just be the server your on? ... I used to run an alt on Jenova and PF was very slim, even at peak times. On Midgard, there are somewhere between 15 and 20 PF's open during peak hour. It was a nice and quiet server, found a great FC, although no one raided in the FC, maybe transfer, get the clear, then transfer back? Or prehaps search/post on the FFXIV reddit? If your willing to transfer, look around on the server forums and see if you can find a team that needs to clear T9 and head into final coil.

Well the question can extend to "is there any point to doing any of the coils after you beat them"?

The answer is: sometimes yeah. If you like helping people, then that. If you like glamor, then that. Gearing up other classes? Etc.
You have to decide if it's worthwhile for yourself or not.

Well there's an achievement for beating T9 5 times, and another one for beating it 10 times.

There is also the White Raven Armor Fragment, a rare drop that goes directly into someone's inventory, that can be used to craft 2 nice housing things and sells for high price in some servers.

Besides the weapons/gear for glamour or whatever of course.

Also, some of the gear dropped here (Crit+Det weapons, accessories and whatnot) are kinda BiS for Front Lines (PvP) cuz FL is synched to ilv80.

since there is that new feature with heavensward which allows you to run all old ARR content which includes coil you can go with less than 8 people and dont be ilvl or lvl synced at all. then faceroll it with 7 lvl 60s. i bet most skills will do little to no damange because of the level difference (except heavensfall or dives pushing you into the wall^^ thats likely still death with 60) i wouldnt worry about coil anymore at this point. you dont need t13 clear to join the new 60 raid later.

Well not unless you really need something from there or you're helping others. All coils come the expansion will become irrelevant except for having the experience of doing them and learning different types of mechanics. I don't think I'd go back once T9 is done the learning parties are a pain enough. Each one there are people who quit after a couple of wipes it's like they join expecting to just be carried through it and get a win without really having to do anything but die.

Met a really nice group in PF last night but a couple of lazy people ruined it by calling for abandon on the third wipe and in DF got a group which got to the final phase even with one guy who was just there to troll who unfortunately made everyone quit with his antics because if he got a meteor on the first part then we would wipe while he laughed.

Achievements, glamour gear farming, and the courtesy to help other people who ask for it and don't expect to be carried while they're dead on the floor are the only reasons I can think of to go back.
