You know...I told the OP to cancel their preorder and just order a new one and maybe they would get charged later than the 1st. Now that I think about it, it brings up a question. When you preorder, and unlock the early access code and the game activation code, and attach the preorder/early access code to your account at the Mog Station, does that then not allow you to cancel your preorder? What if you unlock the codes, then your payment does not go through or you cancel your preorder? Mine already shows up in my account info at the Mog Station.

If you redeem, most likely you can't cancel it. It says that on the thing ;x

But that was my question, what if you redeemed the code, it was affixed to your account, but then your payment source (In the case of the OP) was not valid or had insufficient funds)

Oh! Sorry I misread. You just need to contact support and they'll cancel your preorder (only if your card is invalid).

When I ordered Final Fantasy X HD PS4 I was billed almost 1 month before release. I can confirm Square do charge for their products ridiculously early. I have had no email about the billing for FF XIV yet though. Don't worry about a payment failing however as it wont cancel your order. They will notify you about the failed payment and when they will attempt to bill you again.

Ive been monitering it all day and it seems all they did was a 1 dollar "test" charge to see if you have any money at all on the account. I am NOT missing the full charge for my order as of yet

Dunno most preorders I did charged me immediately upon placing the order, which was even several Months prior to release in some cases. <1 Month doesn't sound that bad (actually it's like what 18 days before early access?).

On that note I am from EU and had not gotten the charge notification, nor did I get charged yet. :/ I would really prefer if they charged immediately upon purchase and not be nervous whether the payment will go through correctly or not...

Welp... they never charged me yesterday or today, and the debit card I used was the one I pay my bills with and has a 24hr $400 limit and bills had to be paid today, have the money for it for sure... but they'll just have to wait and charge it tomorrow or later. Was hoping they would have just charged me already, but haven't even seen a cent or dollar charge to make sure my account has the money either... :/

Not being charged period on the date they said they were is sort of unnerving, I reserved my PS4 CE physical the day it came out for pre-order I really hope I still get it. @.@ Especially since you can't place orders for it anymore.
