I'm gonna wait until the 17th before I start to worry about this.

Ahaha
These steam threads
Dont worry they'll get to it eventually... Lol
Perhaps after the 19th?
Jk jk maybe.
Oh, I'm sorry, just because we didn't get it through Squeenix we should be lambasted by someone who did?
This point also goes for the PSN people, they don't have Heavensward for pre-order yet either, but a Rep said "soon™", meanwhile, on steam; nothing since the page's initial spawn back on the 20th (or a bit later than that), and the steam community hasn't been updated since some time in March.
so we're the lesser client just because we bought our game from a different re-seller than you? o.O
Also here to express my concern about the lack of updates about the steam version being late. I would really love to be able to participate in the early access and it's unfair if we will be restricted away from it, just because we bought it on steam.
Again, if they don't know why and are in communication with someone else, they may not know what they need to apologize for.
Besides it's Sunday. They can't make any announcements like that until someone is in the office to authorize it. Technically it's still "sometime in may" right now.

"We're working with Valve to launch pre-orders for the digital standard edition and digital Collector's Editions sometime in May."
even if they do it tomorrow, it's already June everywhere. So it should be obvious that at least an update is in order.
Something tells me this might be on Valve's end.http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...etc.?p=2852190

SE wants to sell it ASAP. It's in their best interest to have it ready.
At least, that's the logical scenario.
As I said on steam:
developers work with steam and are informed. Hence why when Cities Skylines gave a pre-order date, they met it, when Tera got a release date, they met it, when Bloodlust got a pre-order date, they met it. In fact this is the first game out of those 500 that I own where I see a promised date not met.
they said something and haven't delivered. That's a bad practice. Whether it's a miscommunication in their offices, or between them and steam, it's not for the consumer to solve, but regardless the circumstances the consumer CAN complain as they were told information that has been proven to be untrue today and they have not received an update on that.
