Usually the cutscene will "mark" your intended targets by making them red/aggro on you, so you know which ones to fight and which ones to let the NPCs handle. The GLD 15 fight doesn't do that until those two Lala THMs appear, so yeah, so are the only two you're really supposed to tackle on your own.
The only fights I've had trouble with so far have been the later arcanist ones and the rogue/ninja ones, because the fights are fairly chaotic and a lot of things are happening all at once. The ROG 30 one took me 3-4 tries, mostly because I didn't know where the bombs were the first time, and I didn't deal with the NPCs effectively for the next few attempts. That was really irritating, but since I just respawned and tried again immediately afterward, it was also classic video game-esque.

He is just pointing out that the weak mobs for the players are only lalafells while the big targets that the NPC takes care of are elezen and hyurs. Meaning that the devs consider lalafells as losers....
Given there's like a dozen FATE descriptions that allude to Lalafells as being snacks for various nasty monsters, that was pretty obvious already to even the non-GLA players. He is just pointing out that the weak mobs for the players are only lalafells while the big targets that the NPC takes care of are elezen and hyurs. I actually did that in the level 15 quest. Almost died from the damage the tougher mobs did, barely managed to survive somehow. :P
Smarter thing would have been to let him tank.

My friend recruitment codes (I put it here because in the thread it just gets out dated quickly by new posts):
My code(1): HVTRTX6P (Unused)
My code(2): RAJHW2J3 (Unused, but could be invalid at this point)
No, I got what the point was supposed to be. I say "supposed to be" because it's humor based on somewhat of an inaccuracy.
The targets your ally is busy fighting are level 17-20. However, the targets you're sent after are level 14-15, and they include two Lalafell archers, two Elezen lancers, and two Hyur archers. Those are considered to be the "weaklings" you're supposed to take care of. The Hyur's are actually the lowest level (and weakest) of the bunch. I guess we can assume that's supposed to be saying something?![]()
