I'd rather like Ifrit.... and Titan to an extent...
But Garuda needs a face. And those buttocks.
That's all.
Continue on arguing about texture size and things I don't understand.

I'd love to see a quest line where you unlock more of the primal's power, giving you a bigger, more accurate looking Egi. Since SE said that they'll look into Egi glamors since they can't seem to make new egis w/o breaking the system or something, we'll see some redesigned egis as glamors.

Well Ifrit-Egi appears to be getting a size boost, if the Benchmark (and that one image that makes Ifrit appear to be as tall as an Elezen. It was an image of a new dungeon mini-boss) is anything to go by.

As long as we're on the topic of remodeling summons... I always thought it would be cool to rework the summoner to something more like Kaze from FFU. Make the lore like summoners wanted to obtain greater power from primals and thru steampunk tech or "Magitek" technology, they were able to make mechanical steampunk versions of the primal and summon them through guns like Kaze.

Make Garuda like the one in this image:

I really hate the Egi's. Roll their skills into the base class, bump up our damage to compensate for lost DPS and rename Summoner to Sapper. I'll feel happier that way. But in all honesty, I think it's really quite silly to spend resources on an impressive looking summon if they remain as useless as our current ones are.
If our damage wasn't split between Pet and Master, I doubt anyone would even bother summoning them.

No summoner would agree that the summons are useless. Heck, you don't even agree with yourself that they are useless, since you ask to have their abilities rolled into the base class! Why would we want useless abilities on our base class?I really hate the Egi's. Roll their skills into the base class, bump up our damage to compensate for lost DPS and rename Summoner to Sapper. SMN have their reasons in being disappointed with their Egis, but lack of utility is not one of those arguments.
As for damage split, that's pretty much going to happen when you have a pet job, regardless of whether it's Summoner, Beastmaster, or whatever. If the master does full DPS damage and the pet does any damage at all, then that job is overpowered. That's simple math. 1 + X > 1, if X > 0. If you don't like that fact - well, then, pet jobs aren't for you. There's plenty of other jobs to choose from.
Poe's Law is a burden we all have to bear... There's a fair shot that the person I just responded to above was another example. Was it real? Or was it troll? Who knows???

You don't like your glowing robot chicken nugget man and great fire demon pets?

I think the real reason is PS3 limitation to be honest. It can barely show one primal during a primal fight. Imagine it trying to show 4-8 of them during a FATE?
Lore reasons are not viable anymore. Anyone who has done the main story would realize that. Basically the primals aren't even the real primals, but aethyric figments of them. There's no reason a summoner couldn't use that to make a better representation of the primal (aka looks cooler). They are masters of the Aetherflow after all.
But.. we won't see it till the PS3 version ceases support. So all those PS3 players, encourage them to upgrade. When they all do, that's when we get the cool stuff.
