    Well. You can always go with your starting nation's deity. Halone is probably the closest thing for the Xaela while Brygot is closer for the Raen.

    This makes me wonder though... In 1.0 your guardian deity was supposed to have a much bigger impact on character creation though it never got fully implemented beyond a generic xp bonus on leves. What was their original purpose and use I wonder? Just like birthdays...

    I recall Koji stating something back around the time that ARR released to the effect of us eventually discovering who the Twelve are/were and that our chosen among them might come into play then. Remember they were said to live in a floating city in the heavens when the moogles fled from them. Given the name and nature of the expansion we may be getting some further answers on them soon.

    In terms of who an Au'Ra would worship though I honestly think you could find reasons to follow any of them.
