so you would like to have tome gear be the highest ilvl? lol this game is already casual enough as it is. savage gear should be the highest ilvl, but its gonna be the same as upgraded esotericsi feel it's a loooot of stuff per tiers, with the add of the 24 raid, you will have 6 full stuff per tier, it's insane. way too much.
ps: i feel the fact to add a whole ilevel difference between savage and normal is an error by itself, if it was me, i will have give set bonus and capacity to dye the gear from the savage, but the same ilevel than the normal.
no i will have place the tomes before the alexander gears, the fact to add soo many gears will simply lead to an explosion of the ilevel, before the next expansion we gonna be around i270-300 that insane.
Forgive me if speed-reading the 2 links i missed this
This equipment progression + tomes will be out with 3.0, or not until 3.1?
It's staggered out.
Release won't have tomestones.
First tomestones and Alexander (Normal) will come out two weeks later
Second tomestones and Alexander (Savage) will come out two weeks after that
ilvl is just a number attached to the gear. It could be ilvl 1000 and all that would mean is the gear would have higher stats than what was on ilvl 500. It is our stats increases that SE and the community need to keep on eye on, not the ilvl.
more ilevel will means more power, more hp, more mp,... the trouble is if this progression is too fast, it will lead to some insane number... even wow had to change this. indeed we are not at this point yet, however, point it now it's not bad. they really need to pay attention to the progression of the stats before it lead to some ridiculous situation.
Again ilvl is just a number. It is the jump in stats between ilvls that is important. If your int only goes up by 3 in a 15 ilvl gap vs 200 in the same gap then your stats will bloat out of control (obviously an exaggeration, just trying illustrate my point). What is important is the stats on the gear as you go up linearly NOT the ilvl of the gear. WoW had the problem that I am describing. Their ilvls didn't get squished, in fact their ilvls are reaching 800 now, their stats were squished.more ilevel will means more power, more hp, more mp,... the trouble is if this progression is too fast, it will lead to some insane number... even wow had to change this. indeed we are not at this point yet, however, point it now it's not bad. they really need to pay attention to the progression of the stats before it lead to some ridiculous situation.
i only voice a concern, it's nothing more, i find idiot to add this much ilevel in one tier. it will divide more the community. more important, like it did happend with coil, i'm kinda sure the best gear will not be needed for complet the content (if that not the case i'm sorry, but so far it was always the case)
I'm just addressing the validity of your concern. The ilvl could have shot to 200 or just gone to 160 as long as our stats don't go out of control.i only voice a concern, it's nothing more, i find idiot to add this much ilevel in one tier. it will divide more the community. more important, like it did happend with coil, i'm kinda sure the best gear will not be needed for complet the content (if that the case i'm sorry, but so far it was always the case)
How will it divide the community? High level gear has always been easily attainable given time.
Also I see no reason not to have some of the best gear available through raiding, just like always equivalent gear will be accessible through tomes.
