Other Healer -> Offtank -> DPS

Yea, no one cares about us DPS :|
It's not really quite like that lol. The group are all individuals of course the MT has priority for the whole fight because if they go down it will probably kill the next two people in line in the threat table so he needs to stay up. (A concept DF Healers can not understand in WoD. Seriously just regen him or something on the last boss if he's not in your party >.>)

Apart from the MT it's pretty much an individual basis. For example the OT will need attention for add phases but apart from that is he taking that much damage? How hard are the adds hitting him? If he knows what he's doing he probably popped some CD's to deal with them anyway. For a Tank swap the MT will need attention until the OT provokes and becomes the MT but the MT may pop a CD just to cope with the heavy stacks while the boss is being taken from them.

The other Healer can heal themselves so i don't normally worry about them unless they are going to get hit by something big. The DPS is a mixed bag some know the fight really well and will probably get hit by nothing that isn't party wide damage so you can probably leave them alone for the most part. Some others are maybe struggling so you watch them more. So no there isn't really any table of priority i live by except knowing if the MT dies them he might take 2-3 people with him and i can't heal if I'm dead so don't take risks if i need a heal.

I love raids where I can stay in cleric's the whole type. DPS scholar for life!!

Part of the fun is those "oh shi--" moments when you have to toss a lustrate and swap out before poop hits the fan (lota when you see 4 skeletons sprinting for the dragon). I hate when damage is juuuust enough that I can't go into cleric's, leaving me to just hit a heal every few seconds..

I must be doing it wrong then. I always start raids like Final Coil turn 12 as SCH staying in cleric stance, and DPS the first entire phase. It can be solo-healed by the WHM. This is actually the standard tactic as this raid fight is extremely rewarding on the difficulty and healing side the more DPS everyone can pitch in. Oh neither the WHM or myself heal the blackfire explosion damage, the fairy does all that work to top up. Prevents add aggro as well.

Is it even possible for a scholar to go OOM while dpsing? I would imagine it's a pretty horrible scholar who manages that.

Well, what I meant by that post and my friend comment was rather a general way to look at things. That explanation you gave was basically the same if one thinks about it. Just a bit much more detailed. :/

Yeah, I've seen random SMNs not keep Aetherflow on cooldown so it wouldn't surprise me.

Yeah but Sch's have like 1000+ more MP than a SMN. A SCH that goes out of mana needs to chill out on the Succors, Adlos and Ruin IIs. But that's a SCH that's healing. I can't even imagine how the hell you'd go OOM just DPSing.

I mean, even Rezzing as a SCH takes a while to cause them to go OOM.

Just to add credibility to this, I've done a 4-5 minute smashing on a training dummy as a SCH, never got below 4K MP in my entire time DPSing.

Casting full set of dots on many targets when not able to bane. Still takes a bit to run out

    You ignore fairy?
I think myself a great sch, and without a fairy i would be a very crappy healer.
The 3 fairy skills are pretty much a needed thing to max out ur healings.

not even gonna enter that way cause healing and ignoring your fairy skills already tell me a lot of how you heal
